"In Launch Pad, Ms. Gould has presented us with a well thought out, organized plan to assist the beginning trumpet player in the development of the basic skills so necessary in becoming a solid performer. Not to be overlooked in this book are the tips and admonitions so beneficial in helping the student achieve a good balance of all elements—a balance that will lead to slow, steady progress. I believe the exercises in this book provide the beginning trumpeter with solid building blocks to devlop a fundamentally sound approach to trumpet playing." — Marie Speziale, Associate Principal Trumpet (retired), Cincinnati Symphony
